1. Legal Warranty of Conformity (Legislative Decree 170/2021)
The Legal Warranty applies to consumers who purchase products for non-professional use.
Duration
- 24 months from the date of delivery of the product.
For purchases made by VAT-registered businesses / companies, the warranty may be limited to 12 months.
What it covers
The legal warranty covers lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery, including:
- structural defects,
- assembly issues,
- material defects,
- performance not compliant with the declared specifications.
Remedies provided by law
The consumer is entitled, at no cost, to:
- Repair of the product, or
- Replacement of the product,
If these remedies are not possible or are excessively burdensome, the buyer may request:
- a price reduction,
- termination of the contract (only in the case of serious defects).
Time limits
The defect must be reported:
- within 2 months of discovery,
- together with proof of purchase.
2. What is NOT covered by the warranty
The warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear (tires, inner tubes, chain, sprockets, brake pads, bearings, etc.)
- damage caused by impacts, falls, accidents, or improper use
- incorrect assembly or unauthorized modifications
- undeclared competitive or racing use
- lack of regular maintenance
- corrosion, external agents, or exposure to extreme temperatures
The warranty will be void if the product has been modified, repainted, or tampered with.
3. Procedure for requesting warranty service
To open a warranty claim, it is necessary to:
- Contact the authorized dealer where the product was purchased (or the C.B.T. Italia snc customer service).
- Provide:
- photos of the defect,
- frame number,
- description of the issue,
- proof of purchase,
- any assembly certification, if applicable.
3. The request will be reviewed by our technical department.
Technical inspection
C.B.T. Italia snc may request that the product or component be sent in for internal technical evaluation.
If the defect is covered by the warranty:
- repair or replacement will be free of charge,
- any shipping costs may be shared or charged to the customer according to current policies.
If the defect is not covered:
- a quotation will be provided for an out-of-warranty repair.
4. Frame Replacement – C.B.T. Italia snc Policy
In the event of frame replacement:
- the same model may be supplied,
- or a subsequent or equivalent model, if the original is no longer in production,
- colors may vary depending on availability.
Components and accessories may not be compatible with the new model: any required adjustments are not included in the warranty unless otherwise specified.
5. Warranty for products purchased online
For purchases made directly on the C.B.T. Italia snc website:
- the warranty conditions are the same,
- claims must be submitted to our customer support,
- the right of withdrawal is governed by Legislative Decree 206/2005 (14 days).
